Owner Phil Leone has worked in the industry since 2007 and has had many years of experience as a manager for a corporate chain auto repair shop. Yet he recognized that something was missing. While other shops could certainly competently service vehicles, they didn’t always grasp the reality of how their work was connected to the individual car owners and families they served. Phil and his wife Lea opened the shop in 2018 and they understand that every automobile represents a family’s means to reach jobs, school, and other essential destinations as well as a major financial investment. Therefore, their vision is to offer great customer care, expert repairs, and the perfect balance of quick service and full-service repair. That vision has grown into two family-owned and operated shops in the Garner area.
At Garner Lube & Tune, we prioritize Customers, Communities, and Cars — in that order. Yes, we are an auto repair shop, but we never forget the people who own and drive the cars we service. Before we perform any work on your vehicle, we want to speak with you, so we know what you need, and so you understand the recommended tasks. We prefer to build trust with you, even if you don’t choose to perform work today, rather than to make a quick dollar from a customer who isn’t comfortable with what is being done to their car. Most of our customers are repeat clients who have become our friends. Our goal to be of real help to you is also why we offer as many customer conveniences as possible (free pick-up/drop-off, alternative transportation options, electronic updates, after-hours drop-off, financing, quick turnaround, free wifi, and a 24-month/24,000 mile warranty).
We are invested in our community. Beginning in 2018, our business has participated in the annual Brakes for Breasts fundraiser. We also host a car show to collect and contribute proceeds for several other local charities. As the financial hardships created by the COVID-19 pandemic impacted families, we purchased and delivered food/snacks to local school distribution points. We do these things to support the people and community we love.
